Mission / Vision Statement

(i) VISION :

• To create a world-class Transport system in Nigeria and position it as a hub in West and Central Africa Sub-region

(ii) MISSION:

• To establish a safe, efficient, affordable and seamless Intermodal Transport system in line with global best practices while creating an enabling environment for Public-Private Sector Partnership (PSP)

(iii) MANDATE:

• Establish a safe, efficient, effective and seamless Inter-modal transportation system in line with global best practices and position it as a hub in the West and Central African Sub-region;
• Evolve a transportation system that is private sector driven (creating an enabling environment for Public/Private Sector Participation (PSP)) with emphasis on indigenisation and local content;
• Pursue matters relating to information and communication Technology in line with e-governance policy of government;
• Entrench transparency and the due process procedure in project procurement and execution;
• To enhance human resource development and gender sensitivity in the transport sector in line with international best practices.
• To implement a sect oral and workplace policy on HIV/AIDS and other diseases for the transport sector.
• To create an enabling environment that is customer sensitive for effective conduct of government business in line with global best practices.
